    Electronic help for A/C system

Turns out it was the schrader valve on the high side. The ball looks like it cracked or something. I guess it just unscrews but I'm having a hard time finding the part. I will have to vacuum it and refill it. Though would rather have a shop do the vacuum just 'cause ;) Hopefully this will fix...

This a 95 V6 Mustang 3.8ltr, approx 131k :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Prior to my problem I replaced my a/c system minus the condenser and the evaporator. I put in a new compressor, accumulator, liquid line (with orifice tube)...

    new a/c compressor..engine running hot?

It had AC equipped but the guy who had it last burned out the compressor. There was no oil in it or the accumulator. So yes I did do a ground up fresh install. I was on the way to the store with Max AC on and the car heated up rapidly until it hit m and leveled out. I turned off the AC and of...

    new a/c compressor..engine running hot?

I forgot to mention when I did my AC repair I unhooked the battery, therefore the computer reset and it had to relearn my habits. Took it for a drive with max AC on and it stayed pretty much on O or R never to far beyond. I guess this would explain the heat. :stupid:

    new a/c compressor..engine running hot?

Wow, without ac yours is close to m? Without ac mine goes straight up and down on "r", never wavers. Even on a solid 4 hr trip it never changed (when I didn't have ac). Aren't you concerned about the heat?

    new a/c compressor..engine running hot?

OK so I installed a new compressor and replaced my a/c system, it works like a ice box. Now my problem is that the new compressors pulley diameter was like an inch bigger, so I had to find a new belt. I finally got one. It went from a 985 to a 990 which fit nicely. When I turn the MAX AC on it...

a/c low pressure switch & plug replacement

I see. Well it works now. Took it in early this morning they did their thing and I talked to the mechanic he said Estor oil is fine. His family owned business has been going for years doing this specific service. I appreciate your involvement in my repairs, it was more informative then my phone...

a/c low pressure switch & plug replacement

First off I did not miss your note. Secondly I stated this in an earlier post "....I am not converting to r134a. " My system was r134a to begin with, I had a bad compressor so I replaced all the necessary parts. Following what the Haynes manual had said and some advice from some other forums...

a/c low pressure switch & plug replacement

Well its 10 and I've finished the assembly. We put the drive belt back on and it didn't fit like it did when I took it off. Had to bypass the idler pulley. Now it sounds as though I have a supercharger under the hood when I rev it. I guess I will have to find a larger belt, it took 30 mins to...

a/c low pressure switch & plug replacement

Well no I am not converting to r134a. In fact I'm replacing my compressor, and of course my accumulator and a new liquid line which has the orifice tube in it. I read that I need to oil up the orifice tube but I don't know how to get to it, its as though its sealed in (the new line I purchased)...

    upgrades..

First of all that was totally informative (non-sarcastic). Second, would there be a specific kit you would buy? I know you have mentioned a few brands and that you have recommended the h-pipe. Are there any out there that you, or anyone else absolutely loves on a 6'r?

    upgrades..

Hey I was looking around and found this: MAC 2.5" Cat Back w/3" Stainless Steel Tips for 94-98 V6 I took it to you tube and listened to a few sound clips, sounds pretty good. It claims to be a simple bolt on. Now here my questions are, how hard do you think it would be to put on? Does anyone...

    upgrades..

I want to be able to make it a true duel exhaust. I should have stated this before. I want to adapt a 4.6 or 5.0 exhaust from the cats to the back. The more I look into it the more I'm just thinking of 1, buying a kit, cut it and put it in. Or 2, just leave it as it is, and totally negate...

    upgrades..

I'm looking at getting some upgrades for the car. I already have a CAI. But I'm looking for something more to buff up the 6'r. I heard under drive pulleys are good, but are they easy to put on? Exhaust wise how hard would it be to install a true duel exhaust? Are there any places where they're...

    Parking brake tenssion

Well *****, Yeah the rear brake pads are new no more than 3 months. As for the tension I don't yank it up or anything. Its really hard to pull up all the way. I believe it only goes up a quarter of the way. Usually when I park in the driveway (steep) I put it in neutral, e-brake then put it...

    Parking brake tenssion

Hi all, I am wondering how to tighten a parking brake on a 95'. Is there a special tool, or? I looked in the Haynes manual and all it showed me was where it was (I knew that so no help there). I'm not in a big hurry just kinda one of those annoyances. :D
