Cobra badges with Roush body kit

If you dont mind getting sneered at by cobra owners, and creating online arguements between 12 year olds on youtube . "zOMG, today i saw a new roush cobra, it looked so kewl" "DmBASS! their is No Rosh CObra!" "Yahuuh, i saw it with my own eyes, the owner Says its uh 10 second car" "DUDe i...

Any drifters in here? RB25 240 build.

Pricey build? never really looked into how much it costs to build those motors

96 GT vs 99GT vs Cobra

A motor swap is probably the most expensive option here, and unneccissary for your goals. Best bang for your buck, IMO, is the PI swap. Gets the PI heads worked over, get aftermarket cams, the PI intake, and Exhaust, And you'll have a very good daily driving car (simplified). From there, I...

Well I'm going for it !! all out !!

I dont think you should blow your motor, your block is a great foundation. I like the Idea of a lighter weight K memeber as well, although my reason is for a lighter weight and better balanced car for the twisties. I disagree with the notion of nitrous however, its pricey to build these...

Anyone every go up against a cobalt SS?

Congrats on the win! Although those turbo cobalts are pretty balanced cars, Their handling is remarkably good for an american compact car (from everything i've read). If i had to chose a fwd car, that'd be it. But I'm biased towards v8 rwd cars, so not gonna happen (except on forza lol)

    gas mileage per tank help

I average roughly 24 mpg in my cobra, Its not all about RPM though, there are multiple factors. Like standing on the gas pedal in overdrive instead of using a lower gear and higher RPM isnt saving you any gas. For the OP, it could be a mix of basic things, Like clogged filters (air...

95 Cobra - Where to go for Power...

If you already spent money on headers and exhaust, why switch to long tubes if budget is your main concern? (assuming thats what you meant by LT's) there is a great selection of aluminum aftermarket heads (that flow better than yours) for the 5.0 that would benefit your car. Such as Trick...

I have no key to get off the locking lug nuts... now what?

For my 94 GT it happened to be a ford part and there were only like 20 different types, the parts person walked out with me to my car and tried them all until we got a match and then ordered the part for me. Not sure if its the same for older years but its worth a shot

    I'm not a sellout BUT.........

Does crossdrilling weaken the integrity of the rotor? not meaning personally drilling the rotor, just vs a similar rotor of the same metal without the crossdrilled holes. I ask based off of an old autocrosser that came into the auto parts store I worked at years ago, and swore that slotted...

95 Cobra - Where to go for Power...

My bad, I didnt think he'd talk about his stock heads (by name) in introducing his car and was talking about GT40X's (which still arent the best aftermarket head) And for the longblock, it would have been a seperate affair, the rotating assembly was more for displacement than for replacing a...

    I'm not a sellout BUT.........

almost sounds like a fast and furious moment, only much cooler lol [Boat buying guy hands over the key to the corvette] hotstang_46: You know what you're doing? Boat buying guy: I owe you a ten-second car anywho, congrats on getting a great car!

95 Cobra - Where to go for Power...

A cam would be your best bet in my opinion. Don't look to me for numbers but theoretically, what would the point be of putting on new heads and intake without having a cam that allows all that newfound air to find its way into the combustion chamber? I dont see a point in upgrading your Mass...

Not your average SVT Engine Swap thread

I dont know your reason, but this seems to be pretty much the most expensive, headache inducing idea. Almost no motor swaps are just simple drop in ordeals, this would take alot of time, and much more money than that initial investment (i'd wager an extra couple grand from that initial...

    Are we cylinder snobs?

I hate on anyone who has less than four cams, Thats Right, I said it.:D anywho, the number of cylinders isnt a "hate focus" for me. In reality, I dont hate the car at all. Its just some of the drivers are very bothersome individuals. Such as the ones who put on cold air and a "chip" and...

    05 mustang wheels on a 98 cobra

From a few different sources, I have determined that: -The backspacing is a half inch different, as in the 05 wheel will sit half an inch further in the wheel well and rub on things. -The front and rear studs width differ -ARP studs are the best but very expensive -the bolt pattern is the...

    94 Cobra Hesitation/Stumble upon acceleration

Do you have the stock fuel injectors? if you swapped them for larger ones, the factory MAF isnt calibrated for them and the computer will be confused. Even if not, It still sounds like an MAF sensor to me. You could try cleaning it with some electrical contact cleaner, I had to a few times on...

Stock 09 GT Dyno Results, Tuned with HP Tuners

Seems kind of crazy that a tune can bring out that much power from a stock car, congrats. What all does it adjust?

    New to the forums

Probably an introduction thread somewhere, but nonetheless Recently sold my 94 mustang GT and bought a near showroom stock 98 cobra. Its a great car, I bought it because it seemed everything i wanted to do to the GT was already done from the factory, and wrapped in a better looking package...
