87foxstang gave you good advise. I have used the same process in the past with good results. I usually get wet/dry sandpaper,the black color. I like to use the paper wet,either with water or glass cleaner. Get it as smooth as you can and keep it clean before topcoating.

Getting ready to order some mufflers for my 99 GT,as I understand it the stock pipe diameter is 2.25. My question is do I order 2.25 or 2.50 inlet outlet size? Plan on having the mufflers welded on. Thanks

40 grit is rough,maybe too rough for what your trying to do. I usually use 220 wet/dry paper with a mild soap and water solution to wet sand

the Ford cat. back is $289.95. Want to know how it sounds etc if anyone is familiarwith it

Iam interested in putting a cat back on my 99 GT,I seen an ad for a Ford Performance cat. back,part number FMSM5230 m52 for a good price. I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on how it sounds? Thanks

Guys I like the thought of the mid pipe. Makes sense to me. I just looked at a few and the cat. converter equipped ones are sure pricey. If I go the non cat mid pipe do the mil eliminators work?

Hi, My 99 GT is too quiet for my taste. Would I get a bigger benefit in changeing the mufflers or a cat back? Mostly after sound but a perfromance boost would be great! Seems like it would be a bunch cheaper with just the muffler replacement. Thanks

Yes sir it is a Limited,same color as the one in Red9935thgt 's photo but doesn't look as good as that one.

Hi All, Just went to look at a 35th Limited that is for sale. Has 57k,in decent shape but needs one hellof a cleaning and a set of tires. I beleive they will accept 7,500 for it. What do you think? The vin is 1fafp42x1xf1577637 is this a real limited? Thanks Jimmy
