I'm having a problem with my hood and am hoping that somebody can help me out here. The car is a '66 Fastback with a fiberglass cowl induction hood. The hood is attached with stock hood hinges with no springs. The problem is that on the freeway, at around 60-70mph, the rear of the hood tends...

Maier '67 racing front apron w/ spoiler - pics?

Maier Racing sucks. Their fiberglass fits like crap. I think their is another company that has better quality pieces . . . I think it's called Fiberglass Specialties or something like that. Sorry, no pics.

    ALMOST DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure. I don't think it was me. I've seen a couple two tone mustangs before and thought it was a little unique. I wanted a really clean look that looked different than the majority of the mustangs that I see.

Thanks! The rims are from Boyd Coddington. The rears are 18X12's, so there is a little bit of extra rubber!

    ALMOST DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm getting pretty excited to bring it home. The car is currently at a shop that my dad works at. The shop owner is a really nice guy and has let us have the car there and use the shop for who knows how long. It's actually been extremely helpful. My dad did all of the body work and one...

    HELP! Exhaust too loud!

The motor is a 500hp 347. I have some new pistons a blower that I will be adding, so that's why I went with the 3". I don't want pipes coming out the back and I don't really think there is enough room. The rear has a Griggs GR-350 coilover setup.

    HELP! Exhaust too loud!

Do you know anyone that has done this? How much of a difference would it make? Are you referring to the Dynomax 12" bullet race muffler?

    HELP! Exhaust too loud!

Currently, my car has JBA shorty headers w/ a 3" magna-flo x-pipe. The pipes are 3" and go straight back to spintech mufflers and turndowns before the rear axle. It sounds awesome, but i think it's too loud for the street. I don't want to run the pipes out the back. Besides, I don't...

    It's getting there . . .

Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to do something a little different. My dad also did a ton of modifications to the body that are subtle like shaving and molding everything. He flared the fenders, shaved the drip rails, molded over the cowl, molded the gas cap, molded the bumper bolts so the bumper can be...

    It's getting there . . .

Yeah, you're right, it is San Carlos. It's at a shop that my dad works at. I had the car media blasted a few years ago in San Leandro and I think it was a few hundred dollars or something. The car was epoxy primered at the shop. My dad did all of the body modifications and body work and nearly...

    It's getting there . . .

Thanks a lot. I actually did do a lot of suspension work to make the car handle well. The front is all TCP and the rear is a Griggs GR-350 coilover setup with a minitub. No, I decided to go with a cowl hood instead.

    It's getting there . . .

Thanks! Well, I'm thinking that I'll probably have it back on the road in a few more weeks. A few things still need to get sprayed and then we need to put everything back together. Then, I have to worry about what I'm going to do with the interior.
