    help with climate control problem

McTeague--thanks, and one further Q Thanks for that. Now, do I have to take the dash apart to get to that thing, or where do I find that vacuum line??

    help with climate control problem

OK, that's great info. Do I reconnect the line under the dash or under the hood? Please don't tell me I have to take the dash out. . . .

Identifying an A-code engine in 65 FB

Is there anywhere online or in books, or can anyone just tell me, that is the method for identifying whether the engine in a 65 A-code fastback is actually an A-code engine?

    help with climate control problem

What's wrong when no matter where I put the switch which selects the direction of the air, the air always comes out the upper defroster holes in my 2000GT? It is air conditioned air, just won't come out the vents or anywhere else. Anyone know anything before I go to the dealer and get, you...

    Anyone from Finland out there?

I'm going to be in Finland this summer and I wonder if anyone there is on here? I'd like to give you some Mustang magazines and books that I have, if you're interested.

I went with the KDWs and they're really nice. Thanks for the advice all.

    tire advice

Someone mentioned the Fuzions to me, too, but the person who posted about them here seems lukewarm. How about Toyo Proxes 4 zr 99w? They're about a hundred bucks a set cheaper than the Eagles. The basic story I got from one tire store is--you only buy the Eagles if you're into having...

    tire advice

OK, I'm not buying the cheapies. Then the choice might be those KDW's that someone mentioned--anyone else?? Or else just go with two, put them on the front, and keep the others on the rear--tread is marginal in places. But it's dry here, and we won't get rain for months probably. I...

    tire advice

OK, for my 2000GT, which has chewed its tires up in 30000 miles. Do I put on a set of Wynstar Exocet tires? They're CHEAP!! Or go with the Eagles, and maybe put on only two, since the back two are still marginal. Or is there another good brand about the same price (165 a tire)??

What would you pay for this restomod??

What's it worth, or what's it worth to you? I wouldn't give much for it. It's just not my taste. If you like it, then it's worth what other people are saying here. Just don't expect to have an easy time selling it on if you get tired of it. And I think that these days, things are...

    Trunk Restoration

Eastwood has some really great stuff that you can paint on. It used to be called "corroless" but they've chagned the name. Anyway, get their catalogue and call them. They're also really good on the advice over the phone. You can then get paint and clear for it from them also.

    pinholes in floor

that's the thing--replacing the pan on the passenger side would make things look more messy than the JB. I hadn't thought of the Rhino lining. Apparently the guy on the phone at Eastwood told the owner of the car that undercoating will just trap water--would that be true of the Rhino? I...

    pinholes in floor

My friend's 65 sat outside last spring, and we pulled the front carpet up over the weekend. Rain has leaked in and gotten to the passenger side. Not really bad, yet. There are three pretty small pinholes in the center section of the floor. Then there's a little longer hole at the...

    advice on front end woes

My 66 C-code is wearing its left front tire on the inside edge. That wheel also seems to lean in at the top as you look at the car from the front. Short of ordering one of those total rebuild kits for the front end, what should I look for? Someone said tie rod problems, someone else the...

does this sound like a scam?

Don't do it--use an escrow service or, the more obvious solution--have his bank wire you the money directly. Talk to your bank first so that they give you the routing codes etc. Or have him send it Western Union, where he has to give them cash, or if the check is bad, it's their problem...

    rear end leaking??

My 66 sat for three months (I was away) and when I got it out of the garage the other day, I noticed a small puddle under where the rear end had been. I looked all around the pumpkin, and while it's greasy, there were no signs of dripping. I tried to get that bolt (or whatever it is) on...

    which cover to buy

I'm looking for a cover for my 66. Needs to be weatherproof since it's for outside use, and with an antenna mast bag. What do you suggest? California Mustang is close by, or should I go mail order, and from whom??
