    Tachometer only works while cranking

    Thanks for the response. Im going to look into this tonight. Just a thought though... While I was doing the whole wiring project I removed the bulb for the airbag warning light in the cluster. Is there any sort of relationship with removing the bulb and my tach not working?

    Since i have relocated all my wiring behind the fenders and dash my factory tachometer will only move (appear to work) while im cranking the starter. After running the tach just reads 0. I have a MSD-6AL also. What did I miss here? Thanks again for all the help here on the Stangnet, Erik

    Im just finishing up with a big wire hiding project and my factory tach isnt working properly. I have a MSD 6AL and while the engine cranks the tach appears to work just fine but once started it just reads 0 RPMS. Please help. :flag:

    Can I use regular vacuum line for this?

    I just got done hiding all my engine bay wiring. Ive relocated the EGR vacuum solenoid to inside the passenger fender, this is the solenoid with green and red hard plastic vacuum lines to it.     Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know if i can eliminate the thermister air diverter and bypass solenoids with out affecting performance? these are the solenoids on the passenger fender apron. I will still keep the egr plumbed and hooked up. Thanks

    thanks for the help everyone the problem has been fixed. The red/lt grn wire was the problem the fuse link was toast but i couldnt find it. It is somewhere between the drivers fender and the dash but i could only open up so much of the wireing harness so i added a jumper wire of the same gauge...

    ok i think i found one of the fuse links but how do i know if it is bad? Is it visibly melted? I found the fuse link for the red/LT grn wire it has 2 wires going in each end. Is this the fuse link that would be causeing my problems or should i keep looking for another one? Thanks Erik
