So, I just noticed that my balljoints have neither grease fittings or wear indicators( that I can see) All they have is what looks like a rivet in place. Or, is that the wear indicator, and they are just that worn :D

The inside edge of my tires have worn down and I get a loud pop when I turn and go over a bump (like at the end of the driveway), so I am heading out to change the ball joints. Any tips?

That was the first thing I did. It spun up with out hesitation. That is why I was suspecting the controller.

On my way home I noticed my engine was running really hot. I limped home with the heater on and dicovered the fan was not running. If I put battery voltage to the fan directly, it works. But the DCC fan controller is not running the fan. Any ideas? Geoff

You have to get an inductive timing light from sears or the parts store.

Tom is absolutely right... but, connecting positive to positive and negative to negative will yeild 12v with double the amps. What ever you do don't put the pos to neg like in a flashlight. You will fry the electrical system. Also make sure both batteries are fully charged before you connect...
