Speedo Problems - ive searched forum

I have always changed the sheath too. But if yours is okay... then yes, you could simply shove the new cable down the old sheath. It would be easier. I just prefer to be thorough

Off to do the balljoints... Any tips?

Well, I decided to hold off until tommorow. I think I am gonna change the springs at the same time. I just can't get them until Monday. --What are the odds I will be able to get a decent alignment using FMS-B springs on an otherwise stock suspension? Thank you DMAN, I had seen that site...

Off to do the balljoints... Any tips?

:bang: Thankx, I am actually gonna rent that from AZ now. I might buy one later. Between the tires, and the BJ's, bearings, rotor turning, and shocks this is gonna take my entire paycheck.

Off to do the balljoints... Any tips?

So, I just noticed that my balljoints have neither grease fittings or wear indicators( that I can see) All they have is what looks like a rivet in place. Or, is that the wear indicator, and they are just that worn :D

Off to do the balljoints... Any tips?

The inside edge of my tires have worn down and I get a loud pop when I turn and go over a bump (like at the end of the driveway), so I am heading out to change the ball joints. Any tips?

Anyone ever have problems with DCC fan controllers?

Anyone ever have problems with DCC fan controllers?

That was my first thought too. But, the temp probe was fine. I haven't put it on a meter yet though. It was really odd the way this failed. I drove to the beach(45min) no problems. I was there a few hours went and got gas and food (5Miles, maybe) and all was well. An hour or two later...

Anyone ever have problems with DCC fan controllers?

I emailed him last night and he was really helpful. I am thinking that the controller is bad at this point. I still have some more troubleshooting to do, though. I am gonna hook a small computer fan to it since they are also 12V and simulate the heat with some hot water or a hair dryer or...

Standoffs, eh? Do you mean the rubber isolators on the mounting screws or the studs you connect the wires to. Geoff

Anyone ever have problems with DCC fan controllers?

On my way home I noticed my engine was running really hot. I limped home with the heater on and dicovered the fan was not running. If I put battery voltage to the fan directly, it works. But the DCC fan controller is not running the fan. Any ideas? Geoff

How do i adjust the timing?

Yowza, 21* huh? With my luck, my top and bottom ends would be in diffrent states. :D I wonder if my balancer is off a little too because the car pings some at 12-14* but this may be fuel presure related too. I still don't have a gauge yet. But, if I back it down to about 8* or so the...

How do i adjust the timing?

Well... could be that your timing is way off. Unlikely if the car runs well, or maybe your balencer has slipped. This is somewhat common on older 'stangs. It is a two piece design with an elastomer in between. As they get old, the outer ring can slip on the new one. Another posibility is...

How do i adjust the timing?

Well, the light you have will probably work. All you have to to do is connect it to power, and the no.1 plug wire. Loosen the distributor/pull the spout, shine the light at the pointer and adjust. The light will blink every time the no.1 plug fires. Line up the timing marks on the balancer...

    2 batterys in car

Tom is absolutely right... but, connecting positive to positive and negative to negative will yeild 12v with double the amps. What ever you do don't put the pos to neg like in a flashlight. You will fry the electrical system. Also make sure both batteries are fully charged before you connect...

They pushrod may be at fault did you check the fit when you installed the master? If so it could still be air. Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? Also you did bleed all four wheels right :D ? Just kidding... another thing is to check the adjustment of the rear brakes. I believe those...

Know anyone running a front mounted muffler??

:OT: :OT: :OT: :OT: :OT: Yeah, no kidding... You want to talk about wastes of money?.... On "tricked out" a stupid ricer car show on DIY they spent 375 dollars on an exhaust for a toyota matrix. The whole project had a cold air kit (engine bay), exhaust pipes/muffler, and an $800...
