my car over heated and antifreeze sprayed everywhere. the intake is polished, but stained from the antifreeze. i can't find anything to get it off. has it sunk in to the polish job? do i need to get it polished again?

Car revs to 5500 rpm's or so, then totally drops off quick, then backfires-1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... any ideas?
