No luck with "crank but no start checklist"

I would check the voltage on the throttle position sensor. If its dead, the car will never start, regardless of fuel/air/spark. It's happened to me - It did give me an error code as well. Good Luck:flag:

    Mass Air Conversion Problems!!!

I would think after some driving the computer should start to re-learn. After I did my mass-air swap, the more i drove the car, the better it ran - not just at WOT, but at idle, part throttle cruise, everything. When's the last time you replaced the oxygen sensors? I replaced both of mine...

    Quieter mufflers than Flowmasters?

The drone only gets annoying after an hour or two in the car, I'd be willing to bet other mufflers might have a worse drone. Maybe the H/C/I combo on my car makes it worse than others? Thats kinda the reason i'm looking for a louder muffler, I dont drive the car daily and if its gonna drone...

    Quieter mufflers than Flowmasters?

That is correct. The Super Turbos are quiet mufflers, but they do drone from about 2000-3000 RPM. I have MAC equal length headers and an O/R H-pipe. They sound nice but I want something louder to be honest.

Would you buy a Factory Required Vehicle?

Thanks for all the input guys. You guys seem to find some good deals on cars! I havent been able to find much of anything up here in WI. I think i'm gonna pass on the car. It tempted me more than it should have because of the color, interior and wheels.

Would you buy a Factory Required Vehicle?

The car is priced very well (which is why i'm still considering it) but who knows?

Would you buy a Factory Required Vehicle?

Hi everyone, I'm looking at an 04 GT that was a factory reaquired vehicle. The car is in nice shape and drives nice and all, but has a warranty history about 4 pages long. To sum the history up, the car had trouble with some interior and exterior trim, brakes (warped rotors), gear noise...

Thinking of buying an 04 GT as a daily driver...tell me how you like yours..

Hey guys & gals, I'm Jeff and i'm new to the 4.6 forums. I'm considering purchasing an 04 5-speed GT as a daily driver, but I was looking for some feedback from those who already have one:D I've driven a couple and they seem like a very nice driving car and more refined (much more) than the...

symptoms of bad front wheels bearings?

Wheel bearings usually make humming/wirring noises when they get bad, and its consistent with vehicle speed.

    5.0 Over Heating Problems

I had those same symptoms, and it ended up being a bad headgasket.

    14.3 again....

The stock MAF is killing the awesome potential of the HCI combo you have. I would recommend a C&L MAF also. Some folks on this site give the C&L a bad rap but I have one on my car (73 mm) and it is a really nice piece and works great. Plus, you can change sampling tubes if you change...

    Rear main seal

If your careful removing the old seal, it makes a great tool for tapping the new seal in place.

Is there a way to make the C&L 73 MM MAF work with my combo without a custom tune?

I agree! The paint-dot technique they use doesnt work. Anytime that paint is exposed to fuel vapors inside the inlet tract under a hot engine bay it lasts about 5 minutes! Anyone need a green tube? 36/38 lb injectors? I'll sell it cheap:D

Is there a way to make the C&L 73 MM MAF work with my combo without a custom tune?

New C&L sampling tube installed, problem solved. Now the engine really likes to breathe up top. Thanks for all the help guys.

Is there a way to make the C&L 73 MM MAF work with my combo without a custom tune?

Jason, what an awesome website! From your list of sample tube diameters, it looks like I have Green tube (36/38 lbs/hr). No wonder it runs lean as all hell! You also confirmed what I've heard about the 19 lb/hr sample tube having no step in it. Your website is now bookmarked as a favorite...

Is there a way to make the C&L 73 MM MAF work with my combo without a custom tune?

I've read that the 19lb sampling tube is straight through and doesn't have a step in it like mine has. Is this true?

Is there a way to make the C&L 73 MM MAF work with my combo without a custom tune?

Thanks for all the input! The diameter of the sampling tube is 0.654" on the tapered end (which faces into the airstream - to the air filter box) and 0.472" on the downstream end. Maybe its possible its the wrong size sampling tube? I did purchase it used. The computer and MAF meter came...

Is there a way to make the C&L 73 MM MAF work with my combo without a custom tune?

Heres the deal. I'm running a Thumper/Tmoss combo with a Comp Cam and a mass air conversion. It runs great with a stock MAF, but I also have a C&L 73mm MAF (with 19 lb sampling tube & injectors) but the car wont even stay running with that meter installed. Would a Mass Air Adjuster from IST...

Codes 21,29,41,87 after mass air conversion

After completing the mass air conversion on my 88 GT I'm having trouble getting it to stay running when cold (and it runs so rich your eyes water), and is way way down on power, and will buck like mad after a hot start. I have a solid, steady 18" of vacuum at idle, the TPS is set at 0.99 V...
