EDIT: NM I found the discussion on it.
I tried messing with mine a long time ago by adding a coper cap in-line to restrict the flow-- never quite worked right. Can you tell me what method you used and if it worked. I can't stand the slow return to idle!!!!
I could be your brakes.
A Bad wheel bearing will be a dull grinding niose, louder while turning one way or the other. The key is the change in noise as you turn and transfer body weight.
A noisy *new* Tie rod end will squeek while moving the sterring wheel.
Your splash shield behind...
You describe them as flakes so if they are very shinny flakes then you are looking at bearing material- cam, crank, or rod bearings. The core cause of that type of break down would be an oil issue.
You can send an oil sample or your entire oil filter to an oil manufacture to have their lab...
I have 4 tickets for this weekend motorcycle races at Mid-Ohio, I can't go and want to give the tickets away for free. The passes are good for July SAT 17th and SUN 18th. PM me for info.
The 1 touch feature is operated by a control module attached to the inside of your driver side door panel. With a wiring diagram, making the pass window "1 touch" with the driver's side control would be possible. But "1 touch" on the pass door panel switch would be a huge project a certinly...
A 95 V6, auto tranny, 74,000 miles, had a trans flush about 20k ago. The 1-2 shift is delayed, at part throttle it shifts way too high in the rpm's, otherwise it runs normally. Anyone had this problem with their Mustang?
Of course there are many variables that effect ET's from one day to the next at the track but if these results are correct, you should let Diablo know the chip has slowed your times and see if they are willing to work on a better tune for your car.
I would be suprised if that number is correct, 17.5:1 is extremely lean, cylinder temps would be way too high at that ratio. I would say Yes you will gain power by bringing that A/F back down to where it should be. If my car even hit 15:1 I would crap my pants for sure!
Why not a fiberglass hood if you are going to paint it, what is the diff. in weight, is it worth the extra money? The only way you could do an un-painted CF hood would be on a black car, otherwise it's riceroni!
