They could do all of that for you. They will also let you hang around while they do the work but I doubt they'll let you help out.

Correct. Then you install that black plastic piece on the hood to clean it up a bit.

    07 gt500

I was told by a Ford rep. $40-45k plus dealer markup. To get on a list go down to your local SVT dealer and ask.

the real deal with recent GT orders

I went to a very reputable local dealer here in NY last week and I was told there are no more 05's being produced, you can only get what's on a dealers lot. They could only get me into a '06 and I would recieve it around September. The salesman said 60% of orders placed will not be filled.

    234hp AFTER swap, WTF!!

I would wait. Your going to need a tune after the cams anyway. Save yourself some cash.

    234hp AFTER swap, WTF!!

I know seeing those low numbers is dissapointing, I was in your exact situation like I said above, but chimchim is right, it's not all about the numbers. I've outrun plenty of cars that have dyno'd with higher numbers then mine. My car ran (I've put a '01 shortblock in it since) great with the...

    234hp AFTER swap, WTF!!

Do you have an auto or a 5 speed. With my auto I dynoed at 234 before a tune after the swap as well. I was so dissapointed because it seemed like everyone else was making numbers around 250-270 RWHP. My AF was right on track and there was no sign of any problems. I guess some cars just...

    OddHey Idle Surge...

You could try cleaning your MAF. Here's an article on how to do it. http://www.svtsnake.com/tech/mafclean.html The article is for 03/04 Cobras but the same method is used with our cars as well.

275 wide tires on stock 8" bullit rims.

This is the best pic I can find of the 275 Nitto's on the rear of my car. There is a little buldge but it looks good. My friend who did the mounting for me said it was a pain to get mounted. It's a tight fit.

    Got $1500 to spend...

Don't hate on the automatic. :notnice: Precision Industries makes good converters. http://www.converter.com/stallion.htm With $1500 I would either keep saving to get a PI headswap with P&P heads and a set of cams or just keep saving for a supercharger. I wish I just got a supercharger...

    Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs

I would hold off. $250 per wheel is a lot of money and they'll pit eventually if they are exposed to the salt. I'm from LI also, I've seen first hand what the salt does to chrome wheels.

Not impressed with new PI part.

Every post I heard about the PI intake swap was praising how it was such a big improvement and what not. Like stated above are you sure you got the PI intake? As far as the other stuff...air filter go with a K&N. They never have to be replaced, just re-oiled. Plugs, everyone will say...

    went to larroccas today...

Local shop here, Mustang Magic, does gears for $390 with speedo recalibration and all. I'm not sure if swapping gears on an IRS is different where it would cost more to install. I've heard of Larroccas and nothing but good things about them. I'm sure they wouldn't try to screw you.

    fuel filler pipe leak

I had this problem a few months ago and had it replaced. It took my guy seriously 15 minutes to replace the gasket so I'm guessing you don't have to drop the tank to replace it. I didn't actually watch as he did the work so I'm not 100% sure. That should be it. I think it's a $20 or so part...
