2001 Bullitt spits gas back out when filling up

I have a 2001 Bullitt Mustang that's a daily driver. I've had a couple of other SN95 cars (1994 and 2003), and I've never had a problem filling the tank. On this Bullitt though, if I'm getting gas and lock the handle on the gas pump, by the time the pump shuts off automatically it spits fuel...

That's too bad, there's not much left. One less Fox body on the roads. :(

Original Window Sticker For '91 Gt Says "vehicle Not For Sale"

I received the Marti report yesterday. According to Kevin Marti, "Your car was marked not for sale only because the EPA testing for the new model year was not complete and it was not legal to sell a vehicle until after that testing was released. Once it was, another window sticker would have...

Pulling Oil Pan With Engine In Car, '90 5.0l

I've got a 1990 7-UP convertible that I purchased as a roller back in 2008. Well, a semi-roller: it came with the engine, but it was out of the car. While it was out, we replaced all of the seals and the oil pump before reinstalling it, just for preventative maintenance. Even since the...

Original Window Sticker For '91 Gt Says "vehicle Not For Sale"

The other day, I was digging through the original documentation that came with my '91 GT convertible, and as luck would have it, I found the original window sticker. I was kind of surprised to see the words "Vehicle is Not For Sale" in several places on the original invoice. The invoice was...

Vehicle Speed Sensor on 87 GT?

Wow, that makes me feel a bit better then. It gets really discouraging when you work on this stuff endlessly and nothing ever seems to fix the idle. I did install a new IAC; that didn't change things much. I also own two Mass Air cars (91 GT convertible and 90 7-UP edition), and neither...

Vehicle Speed Sensor on 87 GT?

I guess that explains why my cruise control doesn't work--or am I misinterpreting the info so far? All the VSS does on an '87 is control the cruise? I forgot to mention it, but yes, the car is still speed density. The smog is bypassed, and the EGR is unplugged. As far as troubleshooting...

Vehicle Speed Sensor on 87 GT?

Hi, I'm chasing a strange problem on my '87 GT. It has an inconsistent problem with surging idle, but it gets better. Driving down the road, when I push in the clutch to downshift or come to a stop, the RPM temporarily drops to around 600 rpm. Then, it's like the computer catches itself...

    Needed: '66 Mustang Title

Even if the VIN tags are off the car, there are still hidden VIN numbers on a '66. Pull off the passenger fender, look back towards the hood hinge, there should be a hidden VIN up under there on the fender apron. I don't recommend finding a titled shell and just swapping the VIN/tags over...

    Just got my baby

Creepy? I knew the guy you bought it from and the guy he bought it from. I could tell you quite a bit about that car's history. But hey, enjoy the car, I'm glad it went to a fellow Mustang enthusiast! :nice:

'93 wiring harness/ original radio install

From my experience, the '93 cars use a one-year only wiring setup. I retrofitted a '93 Cobra CD player into a '91 hatchback once, and I had to buy a factory Ford retrofit harness. Luckily, the guy I bought the radio from on eBay had one laying around. The stuff from the '93 ended up being...

'87 GT: Installing Aftermarket Stereo into Stock Console Opening?

I'm toying with the idea of putting an aftermarket radio in my '87 GT. The console I have is mint, and I hate the idea of using one of those screw-in block-off plates you can buy to install an aftermarket stereo. It took me quite a while to find a console that hadn't been drilled for an...

    '87 GT--Removing Premium Sound Wiring?

Have you ever bought a car with options you didn't want? Well, I've been trying to piece together the factory premium sound system on my '87 GT. The car had been parted out when I got it, so I had to track down the graphic equalizer, the specific Premium Sound radio (try finding that one!)...

    Should i mod my mustang?

I think the 200 was phased in during the '65 model year. Some had the 170ci and some had the 200ci. I have a very early '65 model that has some '64 1/2 features, and the VIN decodes to it having a 200ci six originally. Ford probably used whatever was available at the time.

    67 Rear Seat Seatbelt Question

Rear seat belts were federally mandated for all 1966 models. I'm not sure why someone would've seam sealed the holes on your '67, as it definitely had the belts originally. :nice:
