I should clarify that I didn't bust the rear differential entirely, but the rear pinion bearing was replaced due to excessive noise, whine, etc. I wouldn't say I drove the car hard, but I just drove it to it's potential (or at least the engine's potential). As for braking... I lived in Houston...

How many miles should you put on it before you really get on it? Or can you just stomp on it from the start without hurting anything?

They under-rated the the hp in the WS6 so that it would not sit equal to the corvette, not just for insurance purposes. It is pretty well known that ls1's in the Camaro and Firebird are under-rated.
