    rack and pinion...power or non?

Randalls Rack. Install went flawless. The turning radius is less than original. It doesn't bother me though because of the way I drive my car. I blast down the back country roads around here, and occasional trips to the strip. If I did a lot of parking lots or city driving it might bother me.

    rack and pinion...power or non?

It's all personal preference I got the power rack. Mainly cuz my wife drives the car occasionally, though since the new motor went in she's afraid of it. Ask yourself how you are going to drive it. I once watched an interview with a F1 driver, Arie Lyundyke I think. He said that he never used...

Anyone ever change from '65-66 power steering to rack & pinion?

Yes I replaced my 66's power steering with a Randalls Rack. :nice: 1) My stock steering need a major rebuild, it leaked from every single square millimeter. And to make things worse it tended to dart, you'd turn the wheel with little to no response then out of the blue it would grab and...

    Mustang / Cobra Jackets

Anyone know where to find a new Mustang or Cobra Jacket? You know like the original factory race teams wore. Nylon outer, usually blue with Blue fur/fleece on the inside. They had a Mustang or Cobra Patch on top of a Strip running up one side of the zipper. A FORD patch on one arm and...

    edelbrock performer vs RPM

Air Gap I agree. The RPM Air Gap is the way to go if you've got the room when you do step up to a better intake.

Let's see those ugly cars you've taken pics of

This is mine. THe body on mine is in terrible shape. The hood doesn't match cause I blew my hole wad on the drive train and had to buy the cowl induction hood because the Air Gap manifod on top of the 351 sits much higher. Last Years Tax return (and then some) was spent on the drive train...

    Who makes these wheels?

Those remind me of the Enkie (sp?) Spiderwebs from my mini-truck days. Damn I'm old. :(

    AAAAAHHHHHHH! F%#&ING WIRING!!!

Standard 12 circut Painless I put the standard 12 circiut painless in mine 2 years ago. I made an "L" bracket to rotate the fuse panel 90 degrees from stock. It was a tight fit but it works great. the 12 circiut hot rod harness is cheaper than the mustang specific one. Not long after I...

    TCP or Randall's rack?

I like my Randalls Rack. I put one of Randalls Kits in my 66 last year and couldn't be happier. It was easy to install, and the car handles great. Really tight and responsive and very little effort. In my driving I haven't noticed any loss in turning radius, but I drive mine on back...

Any new rack and pinion choices ?

I understand where your coming from. I have a lot of respect for those that are dedicated to keeping thier cars original. I would have liked to kept the original stuff, and the thought of putting a GM part on my ride really irked me. The problem in my opinion, was the design of the original...

Any new rack and pinion choices ?

I have a Randalls Rack in my 66. I installed one of Randalls kits. I cannot say enough good things about his product or his service. Randalls basically retains the same geometry as the stock setup. The stock Mustang did not have much bump steer, however if it is lowered etc... it will...

    351w questions

Other things Besides tranny, and rear. If you are going to flog that motor you'll want traction bars of some kind, as well as subframe connectors, better shocks, better tires. As far as the trans goes, you'd be surprised how much the stock C4 will handle, but you want to make sure and get...

is it bumpsteer or need of rnp?

Bumpsteer is basically when the car steers when the suspension cycles. The There really isn't any harshness necessarily like you describe like crashing into a curb. Though the lower the car is made is worse the problem becomes. There is most likley some issue other than just bumpsteer. I would...

How to make a 67 handle

I have Randalls kit in my 66 coupe. I just finished installing it and getting it running after a year, along with all new drivetrain. Don't think twice about ordering Randalls, it is awesome, and he really is great to deal with. I had a problem and he went out of his way to help. As far as the...

granada disc brake swap to 67 mustang

Did this on my 66. I put granada disks on my 66. The tie rod taper is different than that of the 66 and i think your 67 is the same. Mustangs Plus (http://www.mustangsplus.com) sells the tie rod for this swap I think it is a stock Chevy part. If you have manual steering the tie rod ends are...
