How much more can a Teksid block handle?

supposedly 96-01 cobras. So if I pick up some manley rods(with good bearings) from mmr and swap the stockers out, the short-block should handle quite a bit of power?

How much more can a Teksid block handle?

Hey guys I'm stationed overseas in Germany.(so it's hard to get blocks over here) I have the opportunity to get a Teksid short block out of a 99 cobra. Internals are stock. From what I've heard, the block itself is strong. My question..can the rods/crank handle more than than the ones...

I wanna move back to the states :-/

LOL Germans are actually pretty cool. They're really into Mustangs. Although they are hard to get for them, I have several German buddies who have very nice stangs. It's just the older generation that is very stingy. (and probably jealous)

I wanna move back to the states :-/

Hey guys I'm attending college in Stuttgart,Germany. My 01 GT is registered with the US Army Europe system. (I work on base) Just a couple days ago I was due for inspection so I went in there and I failed because of my exhaust being too loud. (off-road bassani x-pipe with flows) He got...

    1/8 NPT port ??

Naw I don't have a picture at the moment. It is definitely 1/8 NPT. It says so on the instructions. But the other end, where the oil line goes into is not 1/8 NPT. I have the plug where the oil line goes into and I tried screwing that into the oil filter adapter and it was too big. But it's...

    1/8 NPT port ??

Hey guys I just got my oil filter sandwich adapter which has extra ports for oil feeds etc. It says that the ports are 1/8 NPT. There are plugs that go into the ports in case you don't need all the ports and I measure the plug and there's no way it's 1/8". I'm guessing the 1/8" is the...

    Rack and Pinion purchase

My rack and pinion is shot....power steering fluid shoots out everywhere. What's the best place (not too expensive) for a new (or reman) rack and pinion for a 99-04? It doesn't matter if it's manual or power-assisted. Thanks guys Patrick

Vortech SC, t-fitting for oil pressure?

It's probably a windsor. Because the guy who had the car knew his stuff and I doubt he would go through the trouble of installing the t-fitting if he didn't have to. Where can I get a Romeo housing? I'm in Germany so I can't find any stangs on junkyards. :-) I'd have to order it but...

Vortech SC, t-fitting for oil pressure?

Really? I dunno..like I said the Vortech kit probably came with the t-fitting and the previous owner put it in. So an '01 has an extra oil feed hole? Where is it located on the housing? Is there a plug in it? BTW, anybody know how I could could that broken off piece of threading...

    Rack and Pinion

I've got the same problem. You're better off just getting a new rack and pinion. Replacing the seals inside is a PITA.

Vortech SC, t-fitting for oil pressure?

That's the problem. I'm stationed overseas in Germany and I doubt they have our sizes here.

Vortech SC, t-fitting for oil pressure?

Hey guys My 01 is supercharged via Vortech SQ. Last week I noticed that the t-fitting that comes from the oil filter and connects to the oil line for the SC was really loose. Soon enough it just fell off. I tried screwing it back in when I noticed that over half of the threaded bolt broke...

    Power Steering Rack Removal Issues.....

Yeah those rubber bushings that are (I believe) between the rack and pinion and k-member can be like glue. I took a big screwdriver and wedged it out. It take a bit of muscle to get it off. Be sure to tie the rack with zipties to the swaybar so it won't drop down when you do release it.

    Oil pressure sensor?

Thanks bro, got it. Something screwed up happened. The little t-piece that comes from the oil filter down to the sensor broke off. Half the threading broke off of the bolt inside the hole. I don't know what the owner before did. It looks like it was almost broken off so he siliconed it on...

    Oil pressure sensor?

Hey guys I took off my oil pan to check rod bearings and I disconnected a sensor right under the oil filter.(connected to a pipe that's also connected to the oil filter) Is that oil pressor/temperature sensor? How is it hooked back on? Somehow it got knocked off when we were unbolting the...

Rod bearings different depending on year?

Ok thanks. Also, I removed one of the bearings and it appears that the crank journal might've been scratched a bit by the bearing. When I run my finger over the journal I can barely feel it...a little roughness. Not a lot..like I said I can barely feel it. Is that enough damage that I...
