    The car is in my Sig. It is pings when shifting into 2nd and when revving out in 3rd and 4th. Only with the air on. I always run 91 Octane. Everything is stock on the car except for the shifter.

    I noticed some pinging from my car today with the air on. Why would the car detonate with the air on? I cleaned my MAF and IAT (the one next to it). I still get the pinging. Any suggestions?

    Intercooler, Aftercooler what is the big difference?

    They do the exact same thing. The only difference is that an intercooler cools the air before it gets to the head unit of the blower, whereas the aftercooler cools the air after it comes out of the blower instead.

    I did disconnect the battery before I installed the K&N FIPK. It stalled with the AC on. Then I turned it off and then I noticed the surging at idle. I was thinking possibly the fuel filter? I did not notice this problem before the K&N. I am going to put the stock air intake back on and then see...

    What's wrong with my idle?

    Today my car stalled while I was cruising in neutral. I then noticed that it had a surge at idle. It goes up and down from 600 to 500 and makes the car vibrate. The only mod I have is the K&N FIPK. Could this cause the car to have a rough idle? What else could it be?

    I think all the stickers and decals just makes the car look like a kids car, its almost devaluing in a way. Nice chrome or stainless tips looks real nice. Try some Nokya headlight bulbs, but don't forget the foglight and corner bulbs. The black rear bumper letters look alright IMO, the SS ones...

    If you want to upgrade the exhaust I would look at a few variables first. Do you have to pass smog in TN? If you do not have to pass smog there then I would say Long Tube Headers, off-road H or X pipe, and any cat back depending on what sound you like (dynomax, magnaflow, bassani, flowmaster...

    Low end issues

    I found that my car gives a weird pull back motion in 5th gear right when I step on the gas then its fine after a few seconds. I have to change my fuel filter thanks for the idea.

    You can get the 255lph but remember the more it flows the louder it is. Don't even bother with the 24lb. injectors either. You will have issues with them, even if you recalibrate the MAF for them, plus you will just waste a lot more gas and not gain any more power (may even lose power). If you...

    Pinging finally gone after 2 year and lots $$$

    If you run a K&N filter then you should either clean the MAF every six months or remove the oil from the filter all together. Most of the time that is what casues the MAFS to get covered in oil (causing pinging).

    Slower Starts after Cobra Intake Install

    Also check to see if there is a vaccum leak sound at all coming from the engine comp that can cause many problems. Don't forget, there is more volume in the cobra intake it takes more air to fill it.
