Yes the threads in the block itself that bolt the header to the engine are stripped. The buddy who changed the exhaust said it looked liked the block was already helicoiled. Would you be able to re-helicoil a previously helicoiled hole? Don't know too much about helicoils.

Before anything spray WD40 inside your door where it latches and get a flat tip screwdriver and use it to lock unlock the latch a few times to work the WD40 in. Happened on my last mustang and it was a 2 minute fix.

I have the Aviator pump. The install was a lot easier than I imagined. I'm running an 8# pulley. Managed 362hp 393tq and never ran out of fuel or showed signs of it on the dyno a couple weeks ago. From my research the Aviator should be good up to 430hp with the factory basket.
