    not to disuade you from getting BBK...but I recently bought Mac LT's and their new finish and fit was dead on according to my installer...he said they were the best LT's he'd put on a mustang and the install only took him about 2 hours where he said hooker, old mac's, and bbk usually take him...

    I'm currently running Mac LT's, and just installed the offroad h-pipe....too loud and raspy w/ my magnapacks IMO...I'll be looking into the same bbk catted pipes when inspection time rolls around next year

    I just had a set of Mac longtubes installed...guy said the fit was great...and the new coating on the Mac's is supposed to not flake off like before I replaced the BBK shorties...which were plain crap in my opinion

    The other side has a cylinder w/ no spring...and I can move it back and forth slightly...the one on the '99 motor had a similar part on that side too...it is just wierd that his also had the spring side where mine doesn't I will try to find time to take a picture but it may be later

    thanks, that was a very helpful answer. I'm still working on this, and maybe I can use my x-cal to datalog and figure out what's going on...it's still hard to believe that there are about 10-15 different reasons why my car could be acting the way it is and it's killing me trying to narrow it...
