I don't know if anyone has tried this, but I would like to see if the CAI really gets a cooler air out of the fender than having the RAI in the engine. With that, I need help from all of you that have a 02-04 w/ JLT CAI or RAI and a Predator or SCT tuners w/ datalogging capabilities...(I chose 02-04 since the IAT sensor is in the MAF and for a little bit of controlled testing)
Ok, here's my idea of a test:
Drive around for a while, about 20 minutes so the car is nice and hot. Use your Predator/SCT to record the IAT readings at idle and under load. Please post them up, and include the outside temperature, as that could affect incoming air temps.
In theory, this should tell us if the CAI really gets a cooler charge than the RAI.
