03-04 Cobra question

I was looking at ebays cobra page and saw that the 03's appear to have the running horse logo in the front and the 04's have the snake. Is this how it is? If so what other differences are there exterior wise? Thanx, buying one soon....

Both years came stock with the horse.

All Mustangs regardless if they are V6/GT/Mach 1, Bullit, or Cobra come with the standard running horse in the grill. I believe it wasn't until the GT500 that a snake in the grill came stock.

Yup GT500 is 1st to have the stock snake.

all the cobra emblems you see are all aftermarkets. I just replaced my running horse with a Cobra one a few wks ago on my 94 cobra, friend w/ an 03 cobra did the same.

I decided to be different and went with a large "SVT" badge from a Lightning instead of the snake.

How bout that one in the magazines that is a 3d snake? It looks like a medallion from a 1970's Disco frequenter. Ha!

Those 3D ones look like total ass IMHO. Way too big and gawdy looking.

As for the 2nd part of your question... there are no differences body wise besides a couple of different color options that weren't available in '03 like Comp Orange.

Horses, snakes, big black plastic piece, Hood latch, plastic hoodlatch support... All these things are a huge block in airflow. Out with the usless in with the air!!

I do not know of other years but the 03/04 came stock with a pony but without the "corral" around the pony. The part is the same for both years.

The Cobras you see in most grills appear to be 03/04 fender emblems, I have seen them facing both ways, attached by a bracket. IMHO these look to small. I reused the same bracket with a fender emblem from a GT500. While these seem a little big IMHO it is the better of the two choices.
