I have an 08 GT vert, 40,000 miles. 18 inch rims, new 245/45 tires.

I live in Southern California. Great Weather, Bad Roads...

At 50k miles I plan on putting new shocks on.

I hear the Bilsteins are good but firmer than stock?

I hear the Tokico (did I spell that right?) are adjustable?

I'm not a track guy, I like a smooth ride more than a hard cornering car.

Advice?

Typically the problem with bad roads is suspension "control", or so I've been told. Obviously, if the shock valving is smaller, the shock will be less resistant, and that will be rough. But I also hear that higher quality shocks will keep the bounce out of the whole system. And of course I have a vert as well, so any bouncing is magnified through the car.
