    Same setup as Chad's. 295 in the rear on a 19x10. 275 in front on a 19x9.

Hey guys, I want to run an 18x9 03 Cobra replica wheel on my 05 GT. It would be the same rim front and rear. The wheel is listed as having a "26mm offset". Am I going to have a problem running this rim, and can I use a 285 or 295 tire on it? Thanks!

I have a set of those exact rims on my car with 255/45/18's right now. Widest you can go is 275 or maybe 285, depending on the tire. 295 is too wide, that's why I'm switching to 19x10 rears, 19x9 fronts to run the same setup as turbochad and srichard.

delurker, could you please show me some pics of these wheels on your car? That would be very helpfull!

I don't see why you couldn't run at least a 285 on the 18x9? Lightnings come stock with 295s on thatm size rim.

And I have the same setup as srichard

**Note - the front tire looks off because this pic was taken pre-alignment after being lowerd, but I wanted a pic of the new wheels :D

What profile and which tire? I can't find a 295 in any aspect ratio that doesn't require at least a 9.5" rim, most of them 10".

    Here's a "pre-lowered" shot of my car.

Thanks for the picture, it's very helpful. The rear wheels look like they stick out a bit. Was it really like that, or is it just the picture angle?

It's the 26mm offset - makes them stick out a bit more and look wider than a higher offset would.

Ok thanks. What do you think about machining off about 1/4" off the back of the hub pad? Think that would give a better fit?

gp001, can you give me some info on your setup? Brand, rims sizes, tire sizes, price (if you don't mind)? Your setup looks killer. I wasn't looking to spend the $$ for 19s right now, but after seeing your car I may have to :).

A little bit - it's more like 3/4" off where I'd like it to be, though. Actually, with the car lowered an inch or so, it just looks like wide tires.

    Front: 19x9 ROH Drift R, +35mm offset, 275/35-19 BFG g-Force KDW 2
    Rear: 19x10 ROH Drift R, +45mm offset, 295/35-19 BFG g-Force KDW 2

I bought the wheels, lugs, valve stems at JDWheels.com
I bought the tires from Tirerack.com

    Good luck finding the wheels

if you have a shimmy in your front end it might not just be the tires have your dealer take the factory brake clips off and put hub centering rings on they will know what im talking about if the dealer is worth 2 cents

I have america torq thrust on my bullitt. I don't think its the backspacing, its the curve of the spokes. You have to put a spacer on it. the curve won't change if you change the backspacing, it just moves the rim farther in & out. They should have told you that you will need spacers. They informed me before i boutght them.

btw: i am running 9.5 rims with 275 in front..and 11 rims in rear with 335s. But I don't have the 05 bodystyle.
