1995 302 install into 1990 body...

HELLO!!!

Has anyone out there succesfully transplanted a 1995 5.0 into a Fox Body 5.0? I've got a 1995 engine that I need to put into a 1990 body. Can anyone let me know how possible this is and any details I need to know...

It is basically the same motor except for the upper intake, I have never seen the 94-95 style intake in a fox, but I am sure it would work.

timing chain cover and water pump are different too..other than that, no probs. I have a 95 engine in my 84.. if you use the 95 headers, you need to cap the EGR fitting

Yep it's possible, I am almost ready to drop my 95/93 mutant motor into my 92 body with a 93 wiring harness. Are you keeping the 90 wiring harness I assume? Notice that the Air Temp Charge sensor is in different places, If you are using the 95 lower intake it has no ATC sensor on it so you will have to run wires over to your intake piping right behind the Mass Air meter. That is one thing I know is different. Also have you figured out your fan set-up? The 95 fans are electric, did you get a fan with the motor? You are losing power if you put the 90 fan on, also the pullies are different sizes, crank(sticks out farther on the 90) and waterpump, just some things to think about.
