1998 Cobra

Hey guys, My dad asked if a 1998 Stock Cobra requires premium fuel. I knew where to ask first as I've been lurking around here for a while. What does the Ford reccomend? I know my old 1998 GT reccomended regular or middle grade 87/89. Thanks in advance.

cobras recommend premium fuel.

premium fuel only... it says it right on the tachometer, i believe

Thanks guys. I figured ,with almost 10:1 compression, that was the case. Either way your only looking at less than $2.00 a tank full difference over mid-grade. Thanks again.

Its premium, but thats only a .20 difference over regular anyways. kinda OT, but anyone know what kind of gas mileage is to be expected in a 98 Cobra?
