Im looking into an exhaust upgrade.

In your own opinions whats my best route.

Replacing my stock mid pipe with an off road X or H, while keeping stock manifolds and mufflers
    or
    Replacing mufflers with Delta 44's

Im doing this to get a more aggresive sound past 2k and a little more of a rumble at idle.

Sorry to add to the always hated exhaust set up question. Just curious to what people will say.

See what you can get for used. I picked up headers and a mid pipe for $300 shipped. That's cheaper than most catbacks.

Out of those options, swap out the mufflers.

Oh and go original 40, not delta 44 :nice:

Original 40's have that classic Mustang flowmaster sound while deltas seem to be a tad more mellow. Here is a clip of my car with Pypes offroad X and original 40's welded in. I actually like the X with the 40's. It has a little rasp under 2k rpm but after that they scream and have a little gargle to them. I am actually contemplating running a different exhaust set up but not sure which one?

Here is a video of the 40's with stock mid pipe. Big difference after the X!
Stock mid pipe they seem to have a little more bass to them.
