I just bought a 01 GT vert without the premiun sound option. What is involved with changing mine to the better speakers, like adding the ones up high on the doors by the mirrors. I know from messing with the 87-93 cars, that the wiring harnesses differed from car to car depending on the sound package. I hope Ford got wise in the later years and made all the harnesses the same for easy plug and play changes. Thanks
I'd just swap out the entire system. A lot easier than trying to replace pieces. Go to Crutchfields site, enter your car info and it will tell you what you can use to replace components in your system.
