2005 Replacing my Shaker500 Head Unit

Hello All,

Did anyone replace the Shaker500 head unit?

I like the speakers but I desperately need to change the crappy head unit.

If you've changed it, what did you replace it with, and did you need to add any additional tools? (preamp bypass, mounting kit, etc...)

I'll be shipping mine from the US so I best ship everything needed together.

Changed mine to a pioneer 3300bt. I used the metra harness, eBay bypass, and soldered in the 5volt regulator. I also needed a Chrysler antenna adapter and a two male to one female RCA jacks Y.

I had a 2007 and installed a Kenwood navigation system with great ipod controls.

Any of the Premier, kenwood, pioneer, major brands will be a huge upgrade for a clearer signal. Add in a simple 4-5 channel amp w/ some good midbass components and you got everything you need unless you're really into allot of bass in which case you should already know what you're doing.
