I don't if anyone has noticed that the exhaust note on the 2011 GT is somewhat deeper as compared to the 2010 GT. I'm planning to purchase a used Mustang GT and I was willing to sacrifice the 100 hp just for the exhaust note of the 2010, but as I read more and more reviews of the 2011, I really want the 5.0, so I have a few questions:
Is there a way to make the '11 sound like the '10? If I purchase the parts from the dealer, what parts do I need? Just the exhaust pipes?
    Thanks in advance!

I think I can help. After you buy an '11 swing by my place here on Long Island and I will gladly swap power trains with you I will even supply the beer and pizza and do all the work at no cost to you. When I'm, done I promise that your car will sound exactly like mine does now.:nice:

All kidding aside even with identical exhaust systems it would be difficult to get 2 different engines to sound exactly alike, Things like cam lift and duration, ignition timing, intake can all have a effect on the exhaust note. Personally I would get an '11 then find and aftermarket exhaust that that has the sound you are looking for. There are 100s of sound clips on line at sites like YouTube, or American Muscle that will allow you to listen to various exhaust systems to help you decide which system you want.

Man I couldn't sacrifice 100 hp just for exhaust note. Either way stock exhaust is not to my liking. It needs to b deeper and louder is what I always feel. Get the 5.0 and throw some flowmasters on it. Can't go wrong with flowmaster and they just came out with those outlaws that sound great. But u r looking for deep so I'd say try the American thunder or go check out the MAC exhaust

I agree who cares about exhaust note when 100hp is at stake
