Ok, when i first got this car, it was an upgrade from a VW GTI 1.8T, and a v6 camaro rs. It felt likea bullet. But now, it just feels normal. I NEED MORE!!! Anyone else getting this feeling?
Yeah, happens to me all the time Even though I still have a 2002 Z28, after a while it doesn't see as "fast". However, after a week of driving my 4x4 Colorado, driving the Camaro again feels fast! Also, anytime I take someone for a ride in the Camaro, the first thing they say is usually "Jesus Christ this thing is fast!" Try driving something slower for a few days, then get back in your Stang and you'll realize how fast it is again...
lol ya. Also, when i speed up from 60-80, it doesnt seem like its hauling, but when i look around, im passing everyone lol.
You'll love it, especially if you get Ramstein or Sembach. There is a pretty active mustang group in the area.
Here's what ya do. 1.Drive the stang down to your local honda dealer. 2.Put on a long face, then butter up the salesman with some pregnant wife/need a more economical family car/price of gas is just too much comments. 3.Try not to laugh when he points out a Civic. Ask for a test drive and then beat the car to death for 15 min while trying to produce at least one power induced slide around a left turn. 4.Take the car back to the dealership and tell him Screw it! I'll get another wife instead! 5.Repeat as necessary until you fun out of dealerships that will let you test drive cars.
When I traded from an 03 1500 dodge ram hemi the Stang felt like a Bullet ........then I got used to it, so I got a JET chip and SLP loudmouth (not that the exhaust makes it quicker, but the noise def. makes it feel that way ) ........now its been 2 months with the chip and i'm bored again, and considering selling the jet for a Diablo tuner and a CAI....I see a very very EXPENSIVE habit developing here...(once the diablo gets old, whats next? Blower? NOS? ) But, in the mean time I just try to get my GF to let me drive her 9x sunfire when we take that places, when I get back in the stang after that it puts a big grin on my face...
I suffer the same thing, the car feels slow. But I pull away from a stop light and the car in front of me is quickly accelarating and I am only at 1/4 throttle and short shifting to keep up. I also was fortunate to keep my 04 F150, and I still drive it now and then. That used to feel quick, but now it is soooooo sluggish.
