Hi, I recently got my first Mustang. It's a 1998 Mustang GT. I have a stock exhaust system and I want an upgrade. I don't have much money to spend because I'm a college student so I was thinking maybe some bolt ons. What type of muffler would sound the best??
I got weld on flow with o/r H pipe, and Im kinda happy and some what, want more sound. but my set up cost around 500 buck.
why? Flowmasters sound really really good on our cars, one of the best sounding mufflers out there IMO, the only reason people don't get them is because they don't flow as well (meaning you will pick up .5 hp instead of the 1hp you might gain from another brand) and because a lot of people have them so they arent as unique...
i got really sick of hearing the flows when they were on my car. It seemed to me that every other car mustang or not that i heared with exhaust sounded like mine. Honestly they sound generic.
I agree. SLP all the way. I have the catted slp xpipe and flowmaster catback. Within the month I am getting the SLP catback. Sounds amazing!!
We drive Mustangs....there's nothing we can do that someone else hasn't done already. I love my flows. Have em on both my cars and wouldn't put any other exhaust system on there.
SLP is too loud. Sounds like a log truck. If you are looking for cheap go with Mac. You can also find used systems all over the place.
Yea i know this. I was talking about all the other cars with exhaust. ex: the brother down the street with pimped out impala on 24's. I'm not saying flows DON'T sound good. I had them and liked them for a while. I'm already getting tired of the slp's i have and am about ready to change them again.
