Of all the posts in that thread the "bring the Falcon here" is the best idea. IF and only IF they get the price right.
Oh yeah, that's the idea; slap a Mustang nose and badges on a Fusion, then come out with a wagon. They could cash in on the single Ford brand that still has legitimacy.... for about three days, then it too would be wasted. I remember the last time this idea came up; the idea was to slap a Mustang nose and badges on a Mazda platform. Fortunately, the outcry of diehard Stangers was heard; and the new model (Probe) actually did fairly well for a while. But it died when L-M took it over and bastardized the Cougar nameplate. The sad part is that, after the latest attacks on Stangers (through their suppliers), I don't think Ford would even listen to their loyal Mustang base. Can't wait to order my Shelby GT800-ZX2 station wagon EDIT: Count me as +1 (heck, +100!) on importing the OZ Falcon I'd have been Jonesin' for a US-legal Holden Menaro if GM hadn't decided to call it a Pontiac
