when im in 5th gear going between 50-65 mph, i notice a noise coming from the shifter console/gearbox. the noise is hard to describe..kinda like a grinding sound. anyone know what that might be? thanks.

i got it. you hear it ALOT more w/ an aftermarket shifter. ive since put the shifter "gasket" on, and it reduced the noise a bit but its still there.

yeah forgot about that method, v6mustangstuff.com sells a gasket that goes in between the handle and shifter (Works for Tri-Ax and UPR for sure, won't work on MGW) there is a lower gasket in the kit as well, that will work with any shifter.
