I recently purchased a Ford Racing Maf conversion kit Ford does not make these anymore, so it is a little used, and no directions, have not recieved kit yet , but looks straight forward, is there anything else I need to do besides swap computer and install MAF and run the wiring to the MAF I have heard of having to plug off the map hose to the manifold? it is the Genuine Ford kit, any info would be great, thanks

The MAP sensor becomes a BARO sensor. It is the same sensor with a different function. You cap the vacuum line that went to the MAP sensor and leave the sensor vented to the open air. It now senses barometric pressure and adjusts the fuel mixture accordingly. If you are on a mountain, it tells the computer to lean the mixture because there is lower barometric pressure (less dense air). If you are at the beach, it tells the computer to richen the mixture because there is higher barometric pressure (more dense air).
