Ok, I know my t-45 is a piece of crap. But it is starting to go out at 23k miles!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't power shift because its the stock shifter. Now it is at the dealership for probably about a week because the warranty people have to send somebody to look at it and make sure its broke. If the tranny is too expensive to fix. I gonna toss some money in with the warranty money and get a stronger tranny. T-5 sounds good. Does it require any modifications to fit or does it just bolt up?

I don't think the T5 fits without extensive modifications. The trannies you should be considering are the Tremec TKO or TKOII, Tremec 3550 or 3550II, or the Tremec T56 (6 spd.). These trannies are the most popular aftermarket transmissions for our cars. I have seen some TKO's very cheap, considering the cost of a T45. Good Luck.

    i understand your pain..

I just had my tranny replaced with a rebuilt one from NY. It has been in a week and it is back in the shop. I think the new one is just as bad as my first one  if it was not for the fact that it was under warrenty I would be having a T56 put in (i want a six speed)..

    hope everything goes welll
