    Hey guys,
well first off..i just subscribed to this forum so im now a memebr of a community of mustang lovers.. (what a perfect place!)
secondly, lets get down to business:
I bought the car a year ago, drove it for the summer, got use to it, fell in love with it, and then put it away for the winter, and well summer is back around.. so this is my question:
I bought brand new ruff racing 18 inch chrome rims, i also bought brmbo rotors and ford racing calipers and pads, because those kinda broke, and i couldnt afford the whole brembo or baer brake kit, so i compromised, but my engine is stock, and im dieing to get some power! Thats the advice i wanna get from you guys, where i should go. I know its a realy vague question, but basically im asking if you were given a sotck 98 cobra to play with, what would u do (with a very limited budget) i have been looking around for superchargers and turbos for next summer, but not only can i not decide whether to get a supercharger or a turbo, but i dont even know where to start.. like would 4.11's be smart if i turbo or supercharge later? Anyways, before i ramble on with thousands of questions, id leave you guys with that.. its already a vaque enuff question as it is.. THANKS ALOT GUYS!!!!!!!!!
IM LOOKING FORWARD FOR THE ADVICE!

well 4.11's would give you the acceleration you want and a good choice since you also went to a larger rim. as for other engine mods you need to decide on which route you plan to go if you want a turbo or a supercharger. a turbo is slightly more expensive and more involved to install. and would cost more to have a shop do it since it pretty much replaces the front suspension on the car so if cost becomes an issue then i would supercharge you cobra.

An inexpensive performance mod for you would be underdrive pullies. Pullies and gears will give you a very noticable gain in performance.

HELP!! GEARS 3.73 or 4.11's or.....

So it seems like most of you guys think that gears would really add a little spice to the cobra. I just cant seem to get my head wrapped around one final decision. I hear talk about 4.30's and 4.56 and i cant even dcide if i should go 3.73 or 4.11.
I know that gear ratios really add a nice punch to a cobra.. but what set o gears are ideal for fast street driving .. sometimes the odd dragstrip race, aswell as city driving and daily driving. I want ym car to move.. but i dont wanna loose complete practicality where i catn even shift into fifth. lol
you know what i mean.. plus i have an 18inch rim if that makes a difference or nto.. im not to sure..
    THANKS ALOT

4:10's are nice, the only reason I wouldn't go 4:56, is because I do some highway driving, and without a six speed, the rpm's would be super high. I can handle 2900rpm's at 80, but I dont know about 3500 rpm, for a long period of time good luck. I wouldn't mess with 3:73's
