I have an 06 Satin Silver Mustang with Pony Package.

Yesterday I was driving behind an 18 wheeler and one of its tires spun off, hit my car and cracked my bumper cover in several places, so I'm looking for a replacement. I'm trying to find advice on types of bumper covers that would fit my car.

I've searched around, and I'm finding more for GTs than V6s. Really not into modding, but do I have any options besides going factory. I kinda like the one here, but I see that I have to buy the GT Grille Assembly, and I don't really want to do that.

Are you going to file a claim, or does the driver have any liability here? I would go with something aftermarket.

No, no liability on the other driver. I didn't even realize the damage until I got home. The Ford dealership told me that I should go through insurance and have one of their bodyshops assess the damage as there could be some structural I don't see. I see the radiator right behind the bumper has a minor bend in it (cosmetic I think), but I don't think anything strucural. My totally unprofessional opinion is that it's just the bumper cover that will need replacing. I have a $500 deductable, so if that's it, it will be on me anyway.

I would like to go aftermarket, just looking at some suggestions on bumper covers that will fit easily without me having to make any other changes to the car.

I see some come painted and other don't, so I'm assuming the bodyshop will paint. I don't want anything too out there, just something with a smooth appearance. That's why I liked the one in the link I sent in the original post.

    Open to other suggestions.

Are there other changes I have to make to fit a GT bumper cover onto a V6?
