I'm going to be painting my 1970 Mach I Calypso Coral and need some advice on which paint to use. I checked at Napa and I can get 1 gallon of acrylic enamel for $180 or Crossfire for $90. My dad who is doing the paint job seems to think I should use polyurethane.

    Any advice here?

    Thanks

go with the urethane based paint as it is more durable.

Paint from NAPA?? WOW, I did not know that Mikey was slingin' that too.

Go to a reputable paint store and ask them for recommendations. Here is a store locator for PPG. Most of the guys you will talk to will be very knowledable in their products, not just a counter monkey.

Also, buy a book or do some on-line research, there is lots of good info out there if you are willing to spend a little time looking and reading.
