Well, mine's fried. Gotta get a new one. It seems the OEM alternator is a 105 amp. I've been reading around and it seems that you can find 130 amp modules out there. Is this safe? It seems that it will charge the battery faster, thus less drag on engine = better mpg. It also seems that it's potential for trouble. Any input? Right now i'm looking at ordering an OEM module 105 amp module by Bosch for $128. Or for $135 I can order an aftermarket 110 amp module.

    Any input?

Go with the aftermarket if you want to.
    Safetywise, it should be fine.
You are not going to see a big difference between a 105 and 110 amp alt though.

I would go for the aftermarket 110 amp, so if u r runnin or going to run subs and a amp it would be perfect
