The number of flashes is the code. It is normally clock spring or a bad ground.

mine seemed to do that...i think the count was 3....

anyway, i ended up putting some electrical tape over the crash sensor bolts above the radiator and it stopped....i think my prop rod was grounding the sensors out wrong and now i just need to find some better bolts..

Go out and count the flashs and post up how many time it does it. Somebody on here can tell you whats wrong with it then.

    It's actually morse code

It is flashing a code for you to use in determining the reason the flashing purpose. in other words it has determined that there is a problem with the air bag system. Or Google It FTW

    Or Air Bag Diagnostic Codes

Mine was flashing 5 flashes when I got the car. So when I did the white face gauges I thought I would out smart it and remove the bulb.
Heh....Well the light stopped blinking but then every time I started the car there was a new chime dinging 5 times and it would do this 3 times in a row for a totla of 15 chimes..... That got old real quick.

so I took the hvac controls out and found the blue Air bag ecu and removed it. Yeah it rendered my air bags useless but if the light is on they wont work anyhow so who cares. Id rather not have it operable anyhow.
Now no more light no more chime.. Life is good.

LMAO that would funny as hell. I would rather fix it and it work but I might have to take it out. I am trying to fully restore this car though and make it a show car. I have ALOT of work to get it there but I want EVERYTHING that is on the car to work if that makes sense

    Yeah it makes since....

Mines just a nice Daily Driver. From what I have read here on SN.
You have a 50 -50 chance that the air bag will deploy in an accident.

I posted in Tech about my flash code. The guys said it was most likely the clock spring. From what I could determine the spring is 50.00 or more. My other mustangs didnt have airbags so I dont feel unsafe with out it working now.
