ALLIGNMENT ?

I just got my longtubes put on my 99 GT vert but my front spring were taken off for the install, I have a 2" drop in the front with H&R supersport springs and MM CC plates, do I have to get ANOTHER allignment done ?

Were your tie rods knocked loose from the spindle??...if so you could need alignment, you can knock out the tie rods without upseting the alignment but you have to do it carefully...probably your call

I thought you only have to do alignment if you mess with the struts... Just observe the tire wear.. If it's uneven then do an alignment..

also pay attention to your steering wheel if it is not straight when your going straight that can be a sign of needing an alignment

tires won't start wearing uneven for awile won't notice it right away

..Tie rods control your front wheel toe in/out effecting steering mostly.
..Struts will effect caster and camber positive/negative effecting tire wear mostly. You can easily drive with the camber/caster all messed up, it will show itself by excessive tire wear. The toe in/out is going be immediately noticed in the car pull pushing one way or the other.

Quick ?, I put my springs on a little while ago and still havent gotten an alignment. Im planning on getting one this week though. On thursday my nitto dr's will be here and I want to get them mounted asap, will a bad alignment mess up the rear tires too, or just the front? There doesnt appear to be any wear on the rear tires right now, just the fronts.

does messing with the rear suspension really even effect the allignment of a car ?

i had a friend who works at sears tell me to take a car there and then theres like a "warrenty" on the alignment for like 3 months or something and they will redo it free.

I can already get an alignment for pretty much free, so Im not worried about that.
