I have seen this at the dealership and am not sure about their namescaping it Grabber. It seems a little too orange to be a true reproduction "Grabber Yellow" color.

    Thoughts?

Yellow is a tricky color to play with - it's one of those "hot" colors. While you can do some really awesome pairing with black wheels, black stripes, etc - it's very hard to give yellow that glass-like reflection other deeper car colors have. If you are going for that "hot" appearance, I think it's a nice yellow once properly washed/polished/waxed.

Overall I'm disappionted in the color options Ford has with the Mustangs - they could be of a higher quality. FYI, I plan on going with vista blue.

Wait, I though the color was called Grabber Orange? Or do they make a Grabber Yellow also? I have seen the Grabber Orange in person, and it looks like a mixture of yellow and orange......it definitely is a unique color....

Boss...By the Grace of God you are correct. It is ORANGE. I swear I thought it was window stickered as Grabber Yellow. Just checked the Ford Website...... It must have been the Saleen S281 that rendered me stupid as I walked along the line of cars at the dealership. Either way, I just :owned: myself. :hail2:

The Orange is indeed unique, but I do not see them selling that many. There was a row of about 20 Stangs at the dealership and 7-8 were this Grabber color.

The Screaming Yellow is pretty. I like a yellow that is in the "Juicy Fruit" tone.

I agree with you Dread in that the true "Crayola" colors - Blue, Red, Yellow - are difficult to keep glossy. They do make a great canvas to individualize. I LOVE my Torch Red and Black. I have had a White Stang and a Dark Shadow Metallic Grey Stang. Both of which were beautiful in their own right. This TR/Black combo commands a second look (including from the police...as I wizz through a sea of white, grey, silver, black and tan colors that are so prolific in California).

I like the metallics, but hesitate to get them since they are not a true "candy" or "metallic" paint jobs (being they mix the metal fleck in the clear coat instead of in the layers of paint). I am a polish/wax queen and I found the Metallic Grey was already starting to lose its lovely metallic luster even though I only hand polish.

Thanks Boss for the correction and enjoy your new Stang.

They should have made the Grabber Orange in metallic. It would sell better imo. :)

    Grabber Yellow isn't a 2007 color.

Here is a history of Grabber Yellow though...

1970 - Competition Yellow/Bright Yellow with paint code of "D" is available. This was to debut the new wild Mustang colors of the 70's.

1971 - A member of the Grabber family, Grabber Yellow with paint code of "D" is offered. This was renamed from the 1970 color of Competition Yellow.

Thanks Hence.. As always, your stockpile of pics is second to none! :)

The Grabber Orange for 07 is close enough to the real deal when looking at the pics you posted, anyway. A metallic akin to the Autumn Orange would have been preferable to me. I dig Competition Orange with black and on the Mach 1 it is the chit. (Ernad...)

In any event, I find this Grabber Orange to be odd color and would personally not buy a Stang in that color without a butt load of black accents. In a state like AZ, NV, CA, FL etc. with crazy brutal sun, that color will suffer quick without a thick layer of UVA/UVB protective polish.

Next new thread and topic of discussion...... The rear spoiler. At the deadership the 07 spoilers appeared to be somewhere between a deck lid flush mount and a pedastal mount. Any coments on this.... Check for a new thread...

Good Discussion and Info fellas! THANKS.

SWEET Ride mwilkes. The black accents are indeed the way to go to make that color POP!

I am slowly coming around to favor the orange!

That looks awesome. Pretty much the same theme I'm going with on my car. Torch red+black accents. Next up are my black bullits. I think you sold me. Beautiful car.
