I am looking at a 95 mustang gt for sale at a dealership. It is deep forest green and the previous owner did some motor work(5k in the motor according to salesman) put on cobra body parts and also the indy pace car badges . It came from around omaha,ne i believe and i was just wondering if anyone by chance on here knew anything about it whether they saw it somewhere, owned it or know who did. The car is crazy loud (and i dont mind louder exhaust usually). Any info is appreciated! [IMG]

I would scan around the forums on this site and have someone run a carfax for you OR get one yourself and check on the car.

I have not seen this car before in the Omaha metro area, nor have I seen it at Mustang club events.

Ya i am. i ran the carfax already. They got it from a dealership down in omaha he said. He is supposed to be finding out what is in the motor but i figured id try to see if i could find a needle in a haystack lol. I will pry end up buying it. Then i got to do something to the exhaust so i can actually stand driving it and not get pulled over by every cop i see :D Thanks guys

Well now i am having problems with the insurance for it (no i havent bought it YET). They wont even insure me because i am under 21 (i am 20). God damnit. I am going to talk with the insurance guy in the morning and i am waiting for a quote from another company in town. How the hell do you guys get insurance on these? This is turning out to be a major pain in the ass. The agent even asked my parents if they could talk me into getting another car. :fuss: May end up taking my insurance elsewhere :bang: o and i even have a clean record. No accidents or tickets.

With a driver under 21 he says they wont. I think it is total bs. Got another quote from a different company in town for 218 a month for full coverage. For a 20 year old male with a clean record it is about what i expected. Will hopefully get everything worked out this week and go pick her up saturday. Now just as long as the financing goes ok (which i doubt the way **** has gone so far)

Well i brought her home yesterday. She needs some minor tlc (few little scratches here and there as to be expected with 11 yr old car). They have not found out anything about the motor yet. They are trying to get the info from the dealer they bought it from but the dealer is basically telling them to **** off i guess. I almost didnt get it though. The owner of the dealership was trying to sell it to someone else friday (a regular customer of their's i guess) but luckily the salesman came back from his lunch break when he did and it ended up in a big fight over the whole deal i guess and luckily the salesman won the argument. Another salesman says it has been pretty pissy around there since then. So far i am pretty damn happy with it. Havent rodded it too much yet but it seems like the power is more up top but i havent really tested it yet. This will be me for a while  O ya i also want some input on personalized plates. I can have 7 letters here in sd. So far i was think mngrngt (mean green gt), mngrn50 (mean green 5.0), meangrn (mean green), 5 UH OH (what they will be saying when they mess with it lol). Which do you like or do you have any other suggestions? It has good power. It has a cam, cobra intake, msd ignition, gears (4.10's id guess havent checked), longtubes w/ flowmasters that are dumped (changing that right away) and has all the cobra body parts.

Jack up the rear, turn one of the rear tires and count how many revs the driveshaft makes to one tire rotation. ;)
