what is your set-up, and why are you tuning it yourself? is there no dyno tuner near you? a canned tune would probably be better to start with and adjust it as needed with a wideband. you want to pull spark if you are getting detonation.

if you dont have a good grasp on tuning a spanish oak, then i would not mess around with it very much. you can cause some major damage in a hurry without a good tune.

I also agree, unless you know what you're doing, and have the knowledge, expertise in performance tuning..You're only asking for trouble, so if I were you..Leave the tuning adjustments, to the tuning experts..However, if you need to make minor adjustments, in case of an emergency.. Make sure that your tuner or dealer, is walking you through, by providing you with step by step instructions, over the telephone..

YES -DO IT with some studying pretty easy- stop being owned by the tuners. it will pay for it self over & over again.
step 1 . set the MAF
    step2 Set the Fuel Table
step 3. set the spark table
    step 4 ENJOY

yeah there's more to it but you can learn it.

it much easier than you think. people are so scared for no real reason. if you can change oil you can tune a car. if you can program a VCR you can tune a car - get my drift. stop being:owned: by the tunners:notnice:

I really hate to disagree, but tuning a car, isn't quite as easy, as programming a VCR and especially not as easy as, changing your oil..You still have to know, at least the basic principals of both timing and spark parameters, and how and when to either decrease or increase, for each and also by how many degrees..Otherwise, if you don't know what you're doing, all it takes is one false move, and you could end up, blowing an entire engine..And I'm quite certain, that you have some background, as a technician or at least, have basic knowledge, of how to tune a vehicle..However, not all of us forum members, are quite as fortunate and gifted, as yourself..Therefore, you really need to take into consideration, that some people, may be new, when it comes to tuning a vehicle and perhaps even more, may be tuning their cars, for the very first time..You, also need to realize, that maybe some people, use these forums as a means, of both learning and gaining valuable knowledge, who have very good reason, to be scared..Get my drift ??
