AOD kickdown Linkage ?

I have an 86 Mustang that was a 4 cylinder and is now an 8 cylinder. It has a rebuilt 302 out of a LTD II with the AOD. My question is how to set the kickdown linkage, as it's not the TV cable.It's a solid link. So is there a way to set this? OR, Is set,test,reset and test again the only way?

The cable on a AOD adjust the line pressure.Not enough line pressure will burn up the trany real fast.It is not to be adjusted by someone that does not know how too.Take it to trany shop it should not be that much to have it down right.
