Yeah, no doubt the TCI is the best. The B&M looks very homemade. I mean, it's not sloppy looking or anything, but it doesn't have the production quality looks that the TCI does.

*sigh* they both look like poo. I really wish some one would make a nice OEM looking ratcheting shifter!

    TCI looks better by far.

Makes me like my Automatic a little more now...lol.....Los Angeles traffic and a wife that can't drive a stick, inspired my Auto purchase but this shifter makes me smile....

Bay area traffic and bad knee from being airborn...(That was my reason for it, I just wish they would come out with a little more style for the shifters) .But man what I wouldnt give to feel the slamming of gears once in a while !

It's a ratchet type shifter. It allows you to manually shift without accidentally going into the wrong gear. With the stock shifter, it's very easily to go too far, and miss a gear. That's not possible with the TCI shifter.

If you do any drag racing you would instantly feel the difference. If you never manually shift the car using your automatic, it would be purely for esthetics. Either way it's a plus for me....

with my experience, manually shifting the car hurts it....hell i lost almost 2 mph in the quarter mile doing so...just keep it and D and punch it! :nice:

    TCI gets my vote!

I vote for the TCI, but what is that thing in front with the holes? I would get one but it would certainly void my warranty. I googled up a website (sorry forgot what it was) and saw a stronger 5r55s transmission. That would be nice at end of warranty period.

the thing in front of the handle is the lock out. its like the button on the side of the shifter on the stocker.
