AUTOMATIC SHIFTER REMOVAL

    Just checking to see if anyone knows how to remove the stock automatic t shifter in a 98 stang.....PLEASE HELP!!!!! :shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug:

    put the car all the way down into first. look on the front of the shifter, there is a small hole there. in that hole, is a small allen screw, unscrew it and then pull up firmly on the shifter handle. be sure not to pull too hard, you'll rip out the wires for the overdrive.

    Thank's I appreciate it!Do you know if a factory shift boot for a manual trans stang will work for an auto trans stang??
