Well the first cat back I had on my car was flowmaster with the super 40 mufflers with an off road x, then the slp 1 cat back, then the slp 1's were just too raspy and sounded like a truck to me so I purchased the slp 2's which made it sound better but not quite the throaty LOUDer sound I was looking for. So lately I've been hearing a few exhaust clips of bassani cat backs and I just love the sweet throaty sound at WOT that almost sounds like a nascar. So my question is that the bx 4x8x16 are the same mufflers used in the bassani cat back correct (not the quiet thunder). This clip is what really made me lean towards the bassani mufflers... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGgYBlHM7v4
Not sure on which mufflers they use in their catback, but they do sound extremely good. I have been eyeing their race mufflers for a while but the price has put me off.
yea true that, they do make quality products but the prices for everything they sell are a bit pricey...
The end of that clip sounded a little but like an import exhaust. Up until that I thought they sounded sick
I have the Quiet Thunder cat back and they are about 3 years old and are no longer quiet! There "LOUD"! So loud Ive been pulled over for them. They sound nothing like rice. First of all they are 8 cylinder loud. They do have an exotic sound sound to them, and when you have it WOT it makes a sound like no other 5.0
Agreed, i have full bassani quiet thunder, x pipe, and their shorties. Def no import sound here. Just pure, unmolested, pissed off music to my ears
Yea thats another reason why I want to go with bassani mufflers because it seperates you from all the other stangers that are running the SAME exhaust setup such as an off road H with a flowmaster cat back. Its not that it doesnt sound good, you'll just sound like every other mustang...imo
i have one on my myspace page, but it has music with the clip. However, you can still hear it clear as day. Pay no attention to the dyno numbers, that was on my old 306 with a few electrical problems. www.myspace.com/kumm3
Does any body's car with a bassani exhaust and x pipe sound like that first video's car?? Does it sound that good because it has a Dr. gas xpipe or would any xpipe make it sound that raw?
I would think its the x pipe. Ive heard that the X on the dr gas is more further in closer to the headers (where it forms into an X), dont know if that could make a difference though
Sounds like a mild cam to me.... I'd like to verify it though. I've got a completely stock 92 just sitting and waiting for the temperature to rise outside. The box of Bassani goodies is laying right next to it!!!
Has anyone heard the new maximum motorsports bassani eshaust yet. I am going to buy it and just wanted to know how that combo sounds.
