Ok so I just had some bassani mufflers installed on friday and they sound ok but kinda quiet. I expected them to be a lot louder. My flowmasters that I had before that I had broken in very well were louder. I'm thinking they need to be broken in and a bassani tech told me it takes 500 miles to break them in. But I remember opening the box and I noticed there's a quiet side and a loud side I think mine are on the quiet side. Have any of you guys ever heard of this?

Give them some time, since they are a packed muffler they will get louder with age.

Try an o/r midpipe. That will certainly make it louder. X pipes sound great paired with Bassani mufflers. That is what I have. I used to have an o/r prochamber and ditched it in favor of the x pipe.

I know when i ordered mine for the Cobra , i was told if they are too load , you can buy baffles to quiet them down a little. I did not get the baffles but i did buy their X-pipe and Quiet thunder cat back . Its far from quiet .

Mine is far from Quiet . I have a catted X-pipe . B4 that i had an Off road H , now that sound was like heaven but the Cops were starting to pester me due to the sheer loud ness . The catted X is a completely different sound . Sounds like a high pitch wailling Banshee . Just love it .

One thing I do love is that I can actually feel and tell a difference with these mufflers on. I can feel the hp and torque and I absolutely love it. And mine does have the baffles in them.

My 2v is pretty loud with a catted magnaflow xpipe and Bassani quiet thunder cat-back. It is not off road h pipe flowmaster/mac cat-back loud though.

I really don't think my mufflers are put on correctly because they sound like my flowmasters and aren't loud until about 4k or 5krpms.

Anybody have the bassani race mufflers? Is there any difference between those and the bx mufflers I have?

I had the BX Catback....Are you running the catted X in your sig? Remove the cats, it'll be louder for sure.

BTW, Bassani Race mufflers = bullet muffler....so, resembling LM2's, Magnapacks, etc etc.

Went out for a drive while ago and it's getting a little louder. It's starting to have that patented bassani sound, quiet at idle and screaming at higher rpms. Thanks for all you guys help and advice.:D
