My wife hit a rock in the road with my 98 cobra the other day, it landed on one of the catalytic converters and now it rattles, i assume whatever is inside broke loose. any fix to this without buying a new x-pipe?

    Thanks

Hmm, not sure which I have, how would I tell? I looked for a Bassani part number on the pipe and didn't find one, I did see a number on the cat itself i believe it was 960003. I have had the cobra for about 2 years now and the pipe was on it when I purchased it.

I beleive you have the older style ceramic type, not the screen type. The reason I asked is it might be the shield around the cat thats rattling , and the old style has a shield around it, if so you could have it welded and hopefully take care of the problem :nice: :flag:

The cats came apart on my old '90 LX from one too many speedbumps. This was in '00 or so. They didn't last long, but it wasn't their fault I smacked them off of the pavement too much. I gutted them.
