I am looking to buy Bassani all the way back and i was wondering if anyone has any video clips or sound clips of an 03-04 cobra with Bassani cat-back and Bassani off-road x-pipe. i was also looking into buying the Bassani headers but im told that headers on the 03-04 cobras dont really do all that much. is this true or what???

The Bassani mid-length headers are very nice, but unless you are running some serious boost (15+ PSI) you really won't see big gains from them. They are expensive and a pain in the butt to install too. Not a good "Bang for the Buck" mod unless as stated above you're pushin' a lot more boost than the stock 8lbs.

I can't point you to a specific sound file for a Bassani X & cat-back combo, but I have heard one in person and it sounds great! Maybe one of the other guys knows of a link...

dude, i just spent 13 hours taking off old single piece long tubes off my 97 cobra and installing the bassani mid length, and let me tell u, id never suggest anything other then bassani, its a pain cuz u pretty much need to drop the k-member, but installation is so much easier then single piece headers.

go with hooker headers, easiest ones to install and have a great sound. even though i have bassani on my car, bassani does nothing diffrent to there stuff than anyone else (almost) as far as headers and mid pipes go and they charge a **** load, all you are buying is a name.

r u guys crazy, have u actualy tried installing single piece headers, there a pain in the ass and all i did was rip them off and throw them alway, plus if its a daily driver, ull hate the l/t, they scrape over everything.
another thing with bassani, not only is everything a perfect fit, everything sit up high for less bottoming out.

Yes those Hookers will work, but the ports don't match up properly. The exhaust ports on the heads that came on the 03/04 Cobra's are more "D" than "O" shaped like previous 4v heads. The older "O" shaped headers WILL FIT, but it's debatable whether it's a good idea to use them since they don't match the ports specifically. Most header companies have headers specifically made for the 03/04 model year.

I am not sure exactly what model they are since I bought the car w/the catted X and cat back on it already. The only thing I am sure of is that the cat back is the 99-01 model. I can tell by the way the tips are cut.

the cut is not like stock w/it being longer on the top. Mine is cut the the longer peice is going towards the center of the car. It is kinda hard to explain. I will try to take a few pics.

We got a 22rwhp gain from BBK's with Bassani O/R xpipe and catback...I loved the BBK long tubes, good quality and good results.
